Liz Johnson (they/them) is a non-binary makeup artist based in Salt Lake City. They developed a passion for makeup after attending a theatre camp at age 12 and seeing a stage makeup demonstration. They furthered their passion when they would babysit for their aunt, who paid them in makeup samples, and doing their friends’ and sisters’ makeup for school dances.
Liz officially began their makeup career working at Sephora. In the years that followed, Liz did freelance work for weddings, special events, and fashion shows. Liz graduated from Make-Up Designory in 2022 with a Fashion Program diploma. After graduating, they worked on film and TV projects, such as the webseries, “Day Bi Day.”
Liz currently specializes in weddings and events for queer and trans clients. Their work is rooted in collaboration, care, and authenticity. They focus on making each betrothed look and feel their absolute best, while expressing their gender in a way that feels true to them. Whether it’s a wedding, commitment ceremony, or other milestone event, they bring both technical expertise and a deep understanding of queer joy and self-expression to every client they work with. Their background in weddings, events, and on-camera production means they create looks that are not only stunning in person, but also beautifully long-lasting and photo-ready.
